David Smith Rogers was born 17 February 1860 and in 1885 married Augusta P. Ferenbaugh, great granddaughter of German immigrant Fidelis Ferenbaugh, whose sons settled in the far eastern part of Hornby still known as Ferenbaugh today. He died 9 November 1938.
